Year after year, Trouville-sur-Mer has become a must-see resort. Cultural life, festivities, shows and games abound. With the exponential popularity of the resort and the ever-growing number of visitors, a new leisure facility is needed ! A facility that is up to the challenge, that satisfies the finest clientele, that gives the town the standing it aspires to. Built in 1912, and designed by architect Alexandre Durville, the building was destined to be the largest and most beautiful casino in France, subtly combining the benefits of water and the pleasures of gambling.
Seawater and Cures Marines, a history that goes back decades. Since the 1950s, thalassotherapy has been known and recognized for its medical virtues. The Cures Marines mainly welcomed curists on medical prescription, following the precepts of kinebalneotherapy. The establishment is also open to a wider clientele who wish to benefit from occasional treatments. At the time of its opening, this type of center was still quite rare. The road to modern thalassotherapy as a concept combining health and leisure was not paved until 1964.
After 100 years, the Cures Marines are finally taking flight to reclaim their world, like a revenge on time. The project benefited from an ideal alignment : Cofinance Group, public authorities and the enthusiasm of Accor Group. This sleeping beauty has woken up and regained its magical aura thanks to a subtle and elegant metamorphosis entrusted to architect-designer Jean Philippe Nuel. Charm dominates. Emotion is back. As if the fashion for seaside resorts were making a comeback. Never before had a hotel been located in this wing of the building, so four levels had to be created from scratch to accommodate the 103 rooms, bar, restaurant, seminar rooms and the 27 000 sq ft marine spa.
